Our 10 G network switch seems to have failed. Peter, Adam and I tried all the troubleshooting we could think of and nothing has worked so far. We have communicated our findings to CT and Homin. Peter is going to replace the current one with the spare one tomorrow. Therefore, for tonight observations are canceled.
Noise Filter Selection Interface
This is a very short post letting everyone know that the noise switch selection script has been incorporated into all the setup scripts. In addition, it is also available as a web interface from the Control&Monitor page on monitorpc. Please click on the link and web page will allow one to select the noise to be confined to
- LSB — 7.5 to 10 GHz (at a backend LO = 10 GHz)
- USB — 10 to 12.5 GHz (at a backend LO = 10 GHz)
- or both sidebands.
TCS clone working!!
We operated the telescope from the cloned TCS. We ran a Mars track for about 5-10 minutes, ran a skydip script for 10 minutes. Many many thanks to Naomi for working on this and getting it setup. We still have some minor display issues which we can workaround currently, but Naomi is working on finding a solution.
